What we do

A shared space for north Lincoln

Lois Delong is the Community Connector for Lincoln North, working for Bridge Church Lincoln. The Lincoln North Partnership Board is an informal gathering of people from health, councils, charities, faith groups, universities and local businesses who work across the north of Lincoln, with a focus on mental health and wellbeing.

Gatherings take place at St Giles Jubilee Halls in Lincoln, usually on a Thursday from 11am to 12:30pm. Partners share what's on, what support exists and what's missing, so people can be connected to the right help. There's nothing to sign up to: come when it's useful.

Why it matters here

Why it matters here

There is a lot of good community support in the north of Lincoln, but professionals can't always find it, tell whether it's still running, or work out how someone gets in. Funding changes mean groups start and stop, and partners say too many people tell them "I never knew this was available".

Some wards have good pockets of activity, such as the Ermine Exchange, but many have little. Partners want to make better use of the spaces that already exist, and to grow peer-led groups that don't depend on one funded post. This partnership exists to join those dots.

How it works

Meet, map, follow through

  1. Meet

People from community groups, parish councils, health services, faith communities and residents get together regularly.

  2. Map

Between meetings we keep a picture of what exists locally up to date, and note the gaps people raise.

  3. Follow through

When the room agrees something is worth working on, a small group takes it forward and reports back next time.
